Roni Levy | Pianist
Roni Levy began her piano studies at the age of 7 with Mrs. Natalya Blumenfeld at the Israeli Conservatory of Music Tel Aviv, where she studied for more than a decade. At the age of 18 she continued her studies at the Buchman-Mehta School of Music at the Tel Aviv University in the class of Prof. Emanuel Krasovsky, and she is currently studying at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin in the class of Prof. Eldar Nebolsin for over three years.
Roni has performed in various concert halls including the Charles Bronfman Auditorium (the main venue of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra) and the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art in Israel, Harris Concert Hall in Aspen Colorado, Salone degli Affreschi of the Società Umanitaria in Milan, Mendelssohn Remise in Berlin, etc. She has performed as a soloist with the Buchman-Mehta Symphony Orchestra conducted by Maestro Yoav Talmi. Her concert recordings were broadcast by the radio stations “Kol HaMusika” and “Deutschlandfunk Kultur”. During the Arthur Rubinstein International Competition 2017, Roni was a member of the Junior Jury. In 2020 she was selected to perform at the Arthur Rubinstein Virtual Pianofest, on behalf of the competition.
Roni won the first prize in the Israel Conservatory Competition and the third prize in the Katcz Competition. Since 2010 she has been supported by the America-Israel Cultural Foundation scholarships. Roni also performed at “The Future is Here” concert series, on behalf of the AICF. She is a recipient of the STIBET graduation grant on behalf of the DAAD.
Roni received extensive instruction from eminent artists such as Menahem Pressler, András Schiff, Dimitri Bashkirov, Arie Vardi, Robert McDonald, Boris Berman and Alexander Korsantia.
She has participated in international festivals including Tel-Hai International Piano Masterclasses, Sydney International Piano Masterclass Festival and Aspen Music Festival and School.
Roni served as an outstanding musician in the IDF.
